Many patients complain of pain associated with gynecomastia.  This is often the case in steroid users, and even when they stop the steroid use, they continue to have discomfort in many instances.  While there is no guarantee that the pain will go away with surgery, it does resolve in most cases in my experience.

Agree with Dr. Silverman -- frequently the pain or tenderness will diminish after appropriate gyne surgery -- but there are absolutely no guarantees!
