Yo, I didn't tell my surgeon but I'm HIGHLY allergic to anesthesia. Will this matter in my surgery?

JK ha, but I do have a question. The surgeon offered me to have anesthesia by the gas mask or just an IV. I chose the gas mask. Did I make the right decision?

Thanks.

I don't know the difference really. I had it by IV.

It ruled. Except the taste.

I personally would rather have IV.

That way you don't know when they're going to put you under, it just happens. They put the needle in first, then
they put the drugs through it when they're ready.

With the mask, I'd be a little panicky because I'd know it was happening and also I'd feel like I was suffocating or something.

Not telling your doctor about allergies can be a deadly mistake.

Hope this helps,
