I am having an in office revision under local surgery in 3 weeks. Can anyone share their experience with local?

My whole operation (excision and liposuction) was done in local anesthesia. The injection of the anesthetic (how do you say it..) hurted a lot, but after that I was all numb, I didn't feel any pain and it costed me 1000 euros less than the same operation in general anesthesia. The recovery was also much easier: they stitched me up and I was ready to go.

So don't worry about it. The injection hurts, but you can take it, after that it's a walk in the park.

I prefer local anesthesia alone for anatomic nipple reduction as seen with this patient with long nipples. For almost all other gynecomastia surgery, local anesthesia with sedation provides a safer much more comfortable method.  When 2 stages are needed, as with this problem of puffy nipples and long nipples together, I perform the first stage with local sedation, and the second with local alone.
