Had surgery on a Thursday evening. Left hospital Friday morning without being drained.

I then used nike pro vests for compression as my surgeon did not believe in it.

It's now 8 days after surgery and I still havent been drained to date.....

My right side is still noticeably swollen and bigger than it was before surgery.

What should I do?

Can I still be drained later? I can't see my surgeon for another 2 weeks.

Good question, no idea though. Presumably it would eventually be absorbed by your body.

I had mine drained after two weeks.

I just went to see my GP and he sent me to the hospital and they said we can drain it or you can leave it and it will dissolve on it's own. I had it drained as it was uncomfortable.

It filled back up a bit but this has now stated to dissolve away on it's own. Four weeks post opp.

Any idea how long this takes?

Well that depends on you as a individual ... You cant say it'll take 1 day or 1 week ... its up to your body.
