how long does it take for fibrosis to occur, i first started noticed slight gyno in december 07, so like 3.5 months ago.  My nipples got a little puffier by february 08, but in feb i saw an endo and we determined that high prolactin was messing with my testosterone causing gynecomastia, my testosterone wasnt below the normal range, but barely inside of it, and my prolactin was slightly above the normal range.  i have been taking cabergoline(dostinex) for like 3 weeks, the endo said it will take at least 6 months for this to go away, but i am worried that my gyno might be stuck on me even when the hormones gradually go back to normal.  Anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for gyno to become irreversible, except thru surgery?? thanks

You are way over my head, but take heart someone here should be able to handle your questions.

Actually though this is a question best directed toward your Endocrinologist.

Good Luck!
