Whats the best ointment to reduce the scars?

Hey everyone I had my surgery yesterday, and its already looking great  I had excision and lipo.  The only thing I'm concerned about now is the scarring.  But anyways they suggested vitamin E, and silicone sheeting "which I never heard of", but I guess you have to get it from the pharmacy.  Did any of these two work for anybody here?  Anyone have any other suggestions or something that worked for them?
