Underworks 997 and fat

Hello, I am interested in buying the Underworks 997 shirt but I am fat and I dont know if its for fat or just for binding the chest area.  I feel uncomfortable wearing certain clothes and until I find a good way to fit excercising into my work schedule this is something I do not mind wearing so I can walk tall without slouching (another reason why i look like a slob).  I am not trying to "bind" the fat away, just trying to find something to, hide?!, it under my clothes so I can walk with confidence especially with the summer coming.  Is the underworks shirt right for me?
