Choosing a Surgeon

I am a 17 year old in Kentucky and am ready to consider surgical options to deal with my gynecomastia problem.

When I checked the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' website, I found listings for 62 Plastic Surgeons in Kentucky who said they could handle gynecomastia procedures.

My question is this: what is the skill level required to perform male breast reduction surgeries?  Is there a serious difference in the quality of work done by one of these Kentucky surgeons and someone in NYC?  Should I consider going out of state?  How many of these procedures would a good surgeon do per year?

I'm really new to this and would appreciate your advice, experiences, and opinion.
