Advice Needed Visiting Endocrinologist

I have an appointment shortly with an endocrinologist and was wondering could anyone give me a few pointers to what they may ask or do. Also, is there anything I should be asking them?
Now 45 and been a lifelong sufferer and any help would be very much appreciated.
