How long for sticthes and tape to go!

Hi guys,

Hope we're all healing well!

I'm 14 days post op and recovering very slowly.

I just wondered how long your stitches took to dissolve/go? I have stitches and tape over the incisions. I had excision and lipo.

My surgeon said not to worry about them and the tape will peel off when it's ready as showering will loosen it. The stitches will dissolve eventually she said.

Two and a half weeks, the tape was off.  Showering didn't seem to bother the tape much but I was carefull.  I don't think much longer than three weeks but it entirely depends on how quickly or in your case slowly you are healing.
