Hello,

I am a 30 year old male, and have had a mild to moderate case of gyne developing perhaps for the last 5-6 years. Over the last two or three years, however, I have noticed an increase of the breast size, and it's been a real concern about where things are heading.

I've also had a lot of sleep problems for my entire adolescent and adult life, and for the last 2-3 years, have been using Melatonin regularly (most nights of the week) to help with that.

Recently I came across some information on the internet that suggested melatonin use is correlated with increased breast size in men, and, given that my use of melatonin and the enlargement of my breast tissue have fallen on similar timelines (2-3 years), I believe it's reasonable to hypothesize that it's been a contributing factor to the gynecomastia.

I intend to stop using the melatonin, but my question is whether I can expect the breast tissue to subside when I stop using it, or if the tissue is now here to stay.

Thanks,
IF1980

There is only one way to know -- stop the melatonin and observe your chest.  And give it at least 6-12 months.

Many times, breast tissue stays even after the stimulus for its growth has been stopped.

If your chest remains as is in 6-12 months (having stopped the melatonin), you may wish to consult a gyne specialist for an evaluation.
