I read somewhere that that gynecomastia could be a possible side effect of hydrocodone however after searching for more on it there seems to be little out there.  This was interesting to me because my gynecomastia didn't start until I was 20 and was considered "idiopathic."  However I was taking very high doses of hydro daily for about 2.5 yrs for a degenerative shoulder injury I've since had reconstructive surgery for.  It seems like a stretch, but just wondered if any of you have heard about or can confirm gyne as a possible side effect as I'd love to know exactly why mine onset so late.... Thanks.

I'm not aware of that association.  If there is such causality, it's infrequent.

There is no link to my knowledge. Also there is no theoretical reason as to why hydrocodone should cause gynecomastia unless your activity level was reduced and you gained a lot of weight.
