lipo only bad?

so i went to a doctor yesterday about getting my gyno removed, and he said he would do lipo only and it would cost 4000$, now that iv searched this site for the first time i see alot of issues with lipo only and am having second thoughts, i do have large sensitive tissue under the nipple, also 4000$ is about all i have saved at the moment to so if i were to ask to have the tissue removed the cost would only go way up, what should i do

also, how much does a extraction + lipo usually cost? thanks

You are smart to educate yourself before going into this.  I have been bad mouthing lipo only because it did not work for me. I did see before and after pictures and videos on the web that had lipo only and the results did look good. I am sure for a few people it does work effectively. I had gyno since puberty. I could literally feel a grape size lump in both breasts around age 13 or so. It was noticeable but did go away over the next few years, but what remained was just a larger chest than normal (I believe it is classic gynecomastia).  I do not have tissue directly under the areola, but more about 1/2 inch to 1 inch below towards stomach and as a result I have a mild case with breasts that stick out a little and I get puffy nipples when its hot. When my skin extracts due to cold, my chest looks good. The surgeon did lipo only because he could not feel that gland directly under the areola. If you have any symptoms like that, I would really look into lipo + excision.  Either way, definitely speak with a few surgeons. it is in your best interest.  As for cost, I don't know where you live but I found that lipo for me the US was about 4000. and to have lipo + excision and general anaesthesia was under 5000.  Each surgeon is different and that is another reason to get more opinions.  I chose lipo because I did not want to be put under with general anaesthesia.  I did not look into the different types such as twilight etc.  The fact that you have 4000 saved already is a great start.  Do your homework. You may even want to post a picture or two and hope that one of the good doctors on this forum give you an opinion.  They are so in tune to gynecomastia that I believe a picture alone would suffice to get a professional opinion. good luck.

Please do not make the same mistake as I did. Get things done right or don't at all.
Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to go for lipo only and did not do my research. I paid 4500$ for a lipo procedure.

I got excision and lipo done for $3,000.
