I just turned 55 and am considering the surgery, but everyone on this site seems to be much younger.  Is it ok for someone my age to have the surgery?  Or has the skin lost too much elasticity to have good results?

Would love to hear feedback/results/advice from anyone in their 50's or older.

I was 49 when I had this done (last year), both gland excision and lipo. Obviously eveyone is different, but in my case, there were absolutely no issues with skin elasticity.

After the op, it was extremely flat, but over time fills out and no loose skin.

I am almost 75 and the surgical methods had not developed that are now used for Gynecomastia until I had reached a point in my life where my priorities had changed. In any case, there are now health concerns that make me a poor candidate for elective surgery. If you are in good health, and reasonably fit, there should not be any reason for concern.

I'm 59. Had surgery last January. I do need some minor revision surgery, but not age related.
