So I had gyne since 17 years old. I'm 23 now. Never went to beach, never swim, refused to train, any exercices that could show were out of mind. Back pains, because I curve my back too much so nobody sees. Had difficulties with women since I couldn't remove my shirt.

This week, I saw a doctor for the first time. He said it was gyne, and handed me a paper to take a rendez-vous at the hospital to see a specialist. He said I will need an operation. It's okay for me, I'm now willing to do it, not afraid anymore, for I am tired of always hiding myself. This week I plan to go to the hospital. I will post more as things go forward for me :).

A doctor said "you need an operation"?

That is very unusal for gynecomastia.

Doctor usually give you options not a flat statement "you need an operation".

Hey Secret,  Please do something about it.  Don't let your back suffer.  I'm 42 and been hiding it as well for 30 years.  My back is paying dearly for all the slouching.  My back is very curved and I am in constant pain and my arms and hands fall asleep all the time.  Good luck man!

Yes, I'm in Canada, and as far as I know, operations for gyne here are free. Part of the free medical insurance. I feel lucky for this.

My back starts to hurt too. It's one of the reasons to push me to do it. This, my girlfriend who wants me to go swim with her at beaches, friends at pools, etc. So many reasons :-)

I plan to go to the hospital to see a specialist this week :-). I'm so happy I decided to make a move, been suffering for so long.

Medical insurance, if you are referring to government funded plans, are not free. We pay for them via our taxes.
