I didn't have an issue with it myself.

Are you laying with your top half propped up or just flat? Maybe if you are propped up you need to make the support behind your shoulders that so they can rest on it too. If it's flat try putting a pillow or two behind you to support your back + shoulders.

Thanks for the reply I've tried every way possible to get comfy I think on that occasion it was just a bad night. Slept like a baby lastnite well had 6 solid hours at least then did wake up with a bit of a bad back can't wait until after the 6 week mark then vest can come off. No pain no gain the way I see it.

True it's gunna be a little uncomfortable and frustrating at times for the first few weeks. You get strangely attached to the vest after a while tho. After a week you want it gone after a couple more weeks you can't imagine it not being there.

I take it you have also had the surgery how long did you wear the vest for. Also I'm going back to work Tuesday how long did you have off of work.
Sorry with the questions lol.

I did. I had surgery on 29/11/12 so coming up to 6 months. I wore the vest as advised by my surgeon (2 weeks  24/7 + 2 weeks 12 hours a day then from time to time for another couple of weeks. I also wore it after the first few weight training sessions I did. It's more peace of mind at that point then it is functional. I took 2 weeks off for work. First week was a little tough just letting someone run after me I don't normally let people do it but I knew I had to look after myself for the best results I could achieve.

Yeah that's what my surgeon has told me 24/7 for 2 weeks then 12 hours a day for a further 4 weeks. Being 6 months are you happy with your results. I can't wait to be able to exercise again either just don't wana go back to work and risk jeopardising something as my work is quite physical involves heavy lifting.

Not entirely sure but for me it was the fact that I had hunched my shoulders for 8 years to such an extreme I curved my spine, the standing up straight is causing my shoulders to ache.

I know what you mean about hunching but no more thank goodness. Think I just had a bad night on that occasion I've been ok since. Just I do wake up early mornings with the bottom of my back aching but think that's because of the vest. Thanks for your reply
