I have developed gynecomastia from spironolactone (Aldactone) will it leave if I quit taking it (b/w the medication is lasilactone)

The only way to know for sure is if you stop the medication and wait for a few months.  Speak to your doctor about substitute medications before you go off the Spironolactone.

PS  usually the gyne does not disappear spontaneously.

I discussed a similar issue with my son ,he had acne and did not take the spiro due to the gynecomastia risk.As you of course know the only real answer is what Dr Jacobs said, basically stop and see.Not to be overly pessimistic but in my experience gynecomastia which results from drug use typically does not resolve once the medication is terminated.
