I've started reading all about nipples dying or having problems after gyne surgery. To be honest, it's scaring me to death. Is this a common problem with this type of procedure? I am sick of my gyne but I don't want botched nipples or ones that have pain.

Any procedure has risks.  You have to weigh the risks against your expectations.  With that said, if you get a competent doctor the risks of complications decrease dramatically.  My PS leaves a little of tissue under the nipple so there is very low chance of recessed or dead nipple.

I can still feel my nipples a bit and I just had surgery 24 hours ago. Like FAVRE said get a good surgeon and your chances should be low. Also, the surgeon I went to does tiny incisions. So scarring should be minimum to none.
