need a quick guide

Can someone write up a quick guide that can maybe be stickied for all other new people. Would like the know what to do when considering surgery for gynnecomastia. Where to start? Do you goto a GP and get diagnosed and then to an endo or skip to endo who can diagnose you? After that what should you look for when looking for a PS, what questions are a must to ask, things to thing about etc.

I would like to talk to family about this but would rather have everything down packed first any help would be appreciated.
