I am just 1 day post-op and I seem to be healing pretty well.

I don't seem to have much swelling, and very little bruising. I have been keeping ice on my chest and taking it easy.

Is the swelling right now going to be the most swelling I get?

What I mean is, will it start off small and then in a few weeks, its going to swell bad, and then start to decrease again? Or is the worst part of it in the days after surgery?

Thanks

-Matt

be ready for some bruising/puffiness...I looked PERFECTLY flat for the first 7 days. Then overnight they puffed out and swelled some. Im 2 months post op and they are still puffy (fucki'n scar tissue)

I just hope the ST will subside and my first week post op apperance comes back  :-/

I must be lucky, I didn't have too much swelling if at all, I didn't take off my vest and wrap for two days, and didn't notice anything too bad when I took them off to shower. I did have a lot of bruising along the bottom area of my pecs where they did the most lipo I presume. But overall, I never had a problem with swelling. I did religiously wear my compression vest along with a wrap on top of it, pretty snugly, for weeks on end, night and day, only taking it off briefly to shower and wash the vest. I also took it as easy as I could the first week, pretty much just laying around the house and resting.
