Hey guys, after a year of inactivity and weight gain, i've decided to reverse the train.

I've been going to the gym for about 3-4 weeks now and am defintely seeing an improvement in general well being and body shape - but not yet weight per se, though i imagine this will come in time.

When doing cardio, I generally use the cross trainer - currently do about 6k in about 27 mins, will push up to 7k next week.

Was wondering, is the cross trainer a good exercise? Or should I shift to something more high impact like running or rowing?

any thoughts appreciated,
