Hi everyone.

I went to see a GD this morning so he could refer me to someone. He was very nice, family friend and all. He talked very honestly to me. He said my gyne is not that bad, that thou i have some developed gland, it's mostly fat. He said that before even thinking about surgery, i have to go to an endo he refered to me to rule out any hormonal cause for my gyne.

I can't wait to go to the endo... cuz if it's not hormonal thing, i wanna do the surgery between Dec 12th and Dec 20th.

Is this endo process going to take a lot of time??? Cuz i wanna do this while i'm in winter vacations (i'm a college student) so i can go back to classes at least OK.

Thanks a lot... i'll keep u posted.

The endo process can take a while.  I don't know if it always does but I am finding that for myself it is a lot longer process than what I would have thought.  I went in for a blood draw and initial consult with the endo which included a look-see at the breast tissue and 'nads.  Lots of questions to be answered.  then I had to wait 2 weeks for the blood test results.  Then found low thyroid, low testosterone, and high prolactin.  He then put me on a thyroid supplement to see if leveling out the t-3 etc would also bring up the testosterone levels and bring down the prolactin levels.  6 weeks of supplements later, a new blood draw.  Results, normal thyroid, low testosterone, and high prolactin.  So now I am on androgel and have just passed 4 weeks.  The endo wants to check my blood levels again in a few weeks.  Who knows what is next.  I kind of wanted to get surgery during December as well but it looks like I might have to put it off for a while.  Be patient.  You will survive.  I know I have as I have had this condition since my teen years and am now rounding the corner to 45.  What's a little more time, eh?

Do they treat hormonal imbalance with testogel? Is that a perm fix, or just for the moment?

Now I have an apointment set with the endo for next monday afternoon. I really hope all the hormones levels to be OK, cuz I want to get this overwith soon. Question.... if my gyne is caused by hormonal disbalance, will it go away when the hormones normalize or i'll need the surgery anyways after levels are normal?

It won't go away. It's just that ur gyn might come back if u have an hormonal imbalance, thus why u always go to the endo first.
