Surgery cost

Howdy- new member here:

Have had Gyno since I am 12 and I have decided to have the surgery.  I had a consultation recenlty and the Dr. - very well recommended - quoted me a price of $9,100 - Gland, Lipo and lift; total cost is about $14,000.  I've seen costs quoted on this site for about $7,000 and I was wondering does that include the additional hospital and anesthesiolgist, etc.?

 My surgey was almost a year ago. It was a success!! My total cost for EVERYTHING: consultation, medicine, operating room costs and medication was $7,500.  I did NOT get a lift though. Just a small incesion on each aorta(nipple) to remove the fatty breast tissue and glands. I look and feel GREAT!
 My surgeon was: Dr. Miguel Delgado, Jr. in the San Francisco California Bay Area region. Look up his website, he's VERY experienced and does an excellent job, please trust me!

'Aorta':  The great arterial trunk that carries blood from the heart to be distributed by branch arteries through the body.

The lift is going to add additonal costs since the surgen has more work to do.
Also San Fran is expensive!

I'd consider taking an out of state holiday and go to a less expensive reputable surgeon. You should be able to get a great job for less. At least get another opinion to verify the amount of work that is being done.

Thanks for the feedback.  I'm probably going to book the surgery in the next few days but I'm still uncofortable with the price.  I'll keep y'all posted.

We just got a quote today for $4999 for glandular removal and lipo with no lift needed, and another $2000 for abdominal liposuction should we choose to do it. This was an all inclusive cost quoted......$14000 just seems like way too much. We live in Minnesota.

that is way too much....14 grand, hm...u might as well take a place to NYC, and get ur surgery done by Dr. Jacobs, he will charge 8.200 the most, and u can use all that rest of the money for a week vacation in NYC.... I would not pay 14 grand, since that is WAY too much

14 big ones! is really on the upper side. There are many factors that play here.
If your case is severe, then maybe the cost is justified. Considering that SF
is expensive, who is your doc (is it Dr. Delgado?).

I myself paid 7.5k for excision only. Lipo and lift could well cross 11-12K mark.
14K ain't that far. Then again it depends how bad ones case really is.
