Hi,

I am 3 weeks post-op.

Dont worry about the drain pipe and suction pump. It is very very slow, and thats normal. Usually the drains are removed within 1-2 days of surgery. Its purpose is to collect the fluid accumulation.

From what you wrote, it seems to be perfectly normal.

You'll be alright soon buddy! How much did they remove from your chest?
Surgery on 8th July 2008 under Dr. Deepak KL @ Apollo - Bangalore, India.
