Hi, here is a little about me: I'm 22 years old who has been living with gynecomastia since 11 years old, like a lot of people here obviously. My problem was also that I wouldn't stop gaining weight, so I found myself at 21 years old and 5'4 with 293 pounds. I am now 22 years old, weighing 158 pounds and just had my gyno removed. Here is the deal: not only did I have a lot of loose skin, but also the mammary glands, so I guess that was kind of a big task for my surgeon. For the moment, I guess I like the results even though it is still not healed at all, and my left side is all swollen, but I would still like to hear comments from the numerous doctors here.

Low Nipples Look Strange on a Male Chest. Scars for skin reduction are a compromise. Optimizing that compromise is an art form.

3 days is very early after surgery, tissue tends to heal. How tissues evolve after a Skin Reduction Chest Lift depend on the original problem, what was done, skill of the surgeon, after surgery care, Compression Garments and many other factors.

Each doctor uses his / her own techniques and you should check how that doctor's tissues evolve. Here is what Pictures of Tissue Evolution after Skin Reduction Chest Lift typically look like for my patients.

Hope this helps,

Scars are not a problem for me, the swollen part is, but I take it is a very normal thing after a surgery, I'm still not sure whether it's the kind of liquid some were talking about or just swollen.
I didn't have any lippo done, so my surgeon told me compression garments would not be needed. What do you think ? I'll post more pic later, thank you for your answer Bermant.

Without my patients' After Surgery Compression Garments and surgical technique, they would be much more swollen, need drains, and at risk for additional complications. But then again, flap design is part of the surgery and too much pressure can kill tissue if not taken into consideration during planning.

If a patient told me they would not use my garment, I would refuse to offer surgery. That is how critical I feel the after surgery compression is for my patients and my sculpture.

Much, much too early to begin to judge the results of your surgery.  You had a big operation and the larger the operation, the more healing will be required.

Compression garments are an integral part of my post-operative care -- but each surgeon's experiences and techniques are his own -- and there is truly no absolute right or wrong -- especially in cases such as yours.

Be patient and follow your surgeon's advice.  See him often in followup and ask him questions.  And just be aware that with big operations such as yours, there is an occasional need for a touch-up at a later date.  Fortunately, plastic surgery is a field where in many cases there is opportunity for a touchup.

I have something that concerns me 6 days after the operation, a small bump started to grow under my right arm, and my right side skin is starting to turn yellowish and feels like I can't feel it when I touch it.
Is it infection ?

It is impossible to diagnose what you are concerned about without a hands-on examination.  This is what you paid your surgeon for -- call him/her or go in and see him to determine if any problem exists.

If you were my patient, I would want to know about such issues immediately by phone so I could help manage possible complications! Why are you posting questions here instead of contacting your doctor immediately? Choice of surgeon should include who you trust for your surgery, the education, the care, and the after surgery care. Complications are rare for my surgery, but knowing about it as soon as possible gives me a chance to manage them when something needs to be done.
