most likely it is the breast tissue.  more specifically milk glands and ducts ;]  yes men have them too and yes i am bitter about it

I remember having one of those when I was in the 7th grade.  I would feel it all the time.  It was hard, sensitive, movable, and it wasn't a perfect circle shape or anything.  That was the beginning of my Gyno.  Man, I had no clue how much trouble that little, harmless thing would eventually cause.   :(

There are several possibilities. Without an examination I would not hazard a guess. I would comment however that there are two types of tissue in the male breast , glandular tissue and fat (adipose) tissue. Glandular tissue is firm and often painful when squeezed. There is typically a combination of both types of tissue present in different ratios.
