I had lipo only a few years ago, and then revision surgery w/ excision about a year ago. My left nipple is always erect/out, while the right nipple is usually hidden/in when warm and comes out only when cold. The indentation is very slight, but nonetheless causes the nipple to be hidden.

1) Is there a non-surgical solution to make the right stay "out"?

2) If injections are recommended, what kind of injection do you usually use for a small nipple indentation (if any)?

3) If injections are recommended, will the results be temporary or permanent?

4) Lastly, if the results are temporary, how long do the injections usually last?

Thank you in advance!

There is probably a slight deficiency of tissue needed to support the nipple.  There is also probably some scar tissue in the entire area.

There are skin fillers that might work -- but this would have to be decided upon after a physical exam.  Some fillers (Restylane, Juvederm) are short term fillers (less than one year).  Other fillers, such as Radiesse and Artefill, will last longer.  Finally, a fat graft might work as well.  Surgical revision with a fat flap might also be considered.

Best to discuss these options with your original surgeon.
