Personal doctor is not clearing me for surgery because of blood test results. He is making me take every liver test known to man. I think my doctor doesn't know what he is talking about.

These were my results:
PT, TIME, BLD, QN   16.5
Normal range is between 11.8-14.5

PT INR is 1.3

Should I go to a different doctor or is this really a cause for concern? I want my gynecomastia surgery already :\

Can any doctors on here chime in?

These tests measure your ability to clot -- which is important when any surgery, but particularly lipo, is done.  Both tests are slightly elevated.  I think your doc is just being smart and prudent to check it out before clearing you for surgery.

You can change doctors, but you won't be able to change your blood tests if you go to another physician.
