duration for wearing vest

hi.. what is the amount of duration for which wear  the vest post op.. all the doctors i have visited keep on telling a different duration.. thank you

I recommend compression for four weeks.  I like the vest for at least the first week, and thereafter, I allow the vest or a compression shirt (such as Under Armor).  Most surgeons I know recommend 4 to 6 weeks with compression.

I usually recommend 4-6 weeks of compression with a snug garment.

I think the comments here are very similar. I recommend four to eight weeks for compression.The great majority of patients are four weeks but if there is a large amount of excess skin with poor elasticity I would use eight weeks of compression.
