I was able to get my son's surgery covered by insurance by following Patrick's story. I saw his story with the letter examples attached on this site. The plastic surgeon told me that he never had any patient get the insurance company to cover this type of surgery. I don't know how to get in touch with Patrick's mom and am sure it's anonymous for a reason but if anyone knows her, please let her know how thankful my son and I are for her taking the time to detail this information for others. It truly changed my son's life and I could not have afforded it without coverage.
