I have talked to a surgeon who specializes in bariatric surgery and wants to use laser liposuction to suck the fat out. Most of my issues is large deposits of fat and very small amount of tissue. Should I be concerned that a bariatric surgeon is conducting the surgery?

I have seen several patients who have had "bariatric" surgeons who are in reality general surgeons doing the surgery. The patients I have seen have had varying combinations of retained tissue ,visible scars and uneven tissue resection with soft tissue depressions. These are not Plastic Surgeons. The cost which is typically substantially less than a plastic surgeon is invariably the factor which "attracted" the patient.
