White/light spots on Nipple

Greetings Doctors.

I just passed the 9 week mark and it seems like some pieces of my nipple are missing/lighter then the rest of the nipple. I went through the stage where the nipple was dark purple so I understand that discolorations occur, but I these new spots don't even feel like nipple. My doctor said sometimes patients have to get portions of their nipples tattooed a nipple-like color which kinda seems strange. The doctor used glue and pulled it off rather hard which felt like a portion was actually pulled off...is this possible? What is the medical reasoning behind these white patches?

Some photos would be most helpful to asses your situation. There can be superficial loss of the epidermis and superficial dermis in and around the areola which is initially pink and then darkens .
