Folded Nipple 4 weeks post op

My doctor used lipo + incision to take out the fat and the breast glands during my operation. Ever since day 1 post op, I noticed my that left nipple had a crease like crater going through the middle. My doctor said that it is normal and will improve with time. Now it is 4 weeks post op and I feel it is getting worse.

Did anyone else face such problems? If yes did it go away? Doctors what are the chances of such crease going away with time and me having a normal nipple without the need of revision surgery?

It is very early in the healing process -- and there may be uneven swelling that can cause some concern to you.

There is absolutely nothing that either you or your surgeon can do at this time except to sit on your hands and allow the healing process to proceed.

At 5-6 months, you will have a better idea of whether revision is needed or not -- until then, just chill out.

I would agree with Dr Jacobs in general. It appears to my eye that your incision is through the middle of the areola and I do not see the nipple . Was the nipple excised? Why was the incision placed in the middle of the areola?

Agree completely.  Folding of the nipple skin is not that uncommon, especially if the areola was large pre-operatively.  Patience!
