Hello, I have a bad case of gm and was wondering if there's any options out there for help. I believe it came from prescription drugs I took when I was 15 I'm now 35 and have been dealing with this for 20 years. There's no weight loss that helps or anything I've tried. The left side is all I'm worried about.

You are very overweight and also have asymmetric gynecomastia.  Surgery at this time could reduce some of your gyne but the results would be mediocre at best.  You would be far better off losing substantial weight first -- and then consult with a gyne specialist to find out what options you might have.

I agree with the other responder. You have several different issues. I agree that you should probably lose weight before hhaving surgery. It will ultimately give you a better result. You will need different types of operations on the two breasts since they are so different.

You would obviously benefit from surgery to correct your gynecomastia . As noted your problem is more pronounced on the right when compared to the left side. The left side however is a bit prominent as well. The right has a lot of excess skin which would need to be addressed. The excess fat can induce some hormonal changes ie estrogen production which contributes to the problem.I do not know your overall health but the first thing that would need to be addressed prior to surgery is to determine if you are in fact a surgical candidate. The second thing I would stress is your treatment is like sitting on a stool with three legs. The legs are diet ,exercise and surgery. If one of the legs are missing the stool does not work.Third you have a significant amount of skin on the right which will compromise the final result by this I mean additional scars and an imperfect final result is not a possibility but should be considered a certainty.I have operated on patients who cannot seem to loose weight and the surgery has jump started a weight loss program.BUT there is a lot of meat on those bones and to optimize things a significant portion needs to go. One final note it may be difficult to get a surgeon involved due to the old drug issue.
