Comparison of Suregon fellowships?

Hi,

Is one college of surgeons considered the most prestigious?  Is it possible/sensible to compare, say, the Royal College of Surgeons with the American College of Surgeons?

They are both equally prestigious.

The American College of Surgeons requires each member to be board certified in his own surgical specialty and then the surgeon must be interviewed and accepted for membership.  I assume the Royal college has a similar methodology.
