I am 1 month post op gyno surgery with lipo, and I've noticed since the surgery that my left areola is an oval shape, and that the nipple is sunken in. I'd also like to add that it's completely numb as well. The right side on the other hand is still swollen, but I have full sensitivity and the nipple looks normal like my before photo. Did the plastic surgeon do something to my left nipple to make it oval? If so, why?

It looks like the areola was a bit oval to begin with. The correction of gynecomastia will not necessarily change this.

I agree that the shape post-op looks like the shape pre-op. Nipples are often oval shaped, so this isn't abnormal. As for swelling or depression, at one month things are still changing significantly.  If the issue is still a problem at 6 months, then you might need to worry about it.
