Hello to any doctor listening! Over the last 3 years I've developed a set of puffy nipples and fat tissue in my pecs. I'm working up the courage to actually go see a doctor about it. I've started working out very regularly for the last 4 months to see if that could solve my problem, hitting my chest pretty hard and ensuring I was in a caloric deficit. But it seems that it has made the problem worse. The growing muscle has pushed my nipples even further out. I'll attach some pictures. I'm in the air force and I've heard that this surgery gets approved pretty consistently so I just wanted to get some opinions.Any help would be much appreciated! I'd love to be able to wear a t-shirt in the summer, instead of a sweatshirt!

You describe the situation perfectly. If a person has gynecomastia, as you do Grade1-2, building up the pectoralis muscle will push the breast tissue outward making it look more obvious.  Gynecomastia surgery will solve this problem. You should have a great outcome. Good luck.

Agree with Dr Delgado.  You do have gynecomastia and would require surgery to remove it.  Dieting and exercise will not remove it and may, as you have observed, make the appearance worse.

Good luck!
