Hello everyone, I have been on this board for a while now reading everyones posts/experiences and finally decided to go for the surgery myself. I am a 24yr old male that has been suffering from Gyno since I was 14, and I've had enough! I have always beem an athletic person, but no matter how extreme my diet was, my d**n moobs always ruined my physique.

So I have my first appointment made with Dr Fielding Monday, November 28, and am looking forward to it. I must admit that I am a little scared since I do not want the surgery to make my problem any worse! What I mean is that I don't want my pecs to be uneven or God forbid one of my nips being indented!

My symptoms are that I have fatty pecs, especially on the right one, nips are puffy and the right one has a very hard lump under it from puberty.

Here is a link to check out some pics, sorry they are not the best quality, and may even downplay my Gyno, but believe me its there! Feedback is welcome

I know what you mean about the gyne ruining one's physique. I used to lift weights like a demon and do lots of cardio-vascular exercise as well. I was pretty lean at one point, but the breast tissue just ruined it.

I think it's great that we can share our stories about this problem, because I've never seen this being discussed openly anywhere before.

Why did you chose Dr. Fielding?

I chose Dr Fielding for financials reasons, but mostly becasue he comes highly recommended.

I had my first consultation with Dr Fielding at the end of November...super nice guy! I actually told him that i was using a DHT Gel, and he says "ypu know that illegal in Canada", and i was like i know. But he was cool about it. He asked me if it worked...lol, and iwas like only a little.

Anyways...he is booked up!! My operation is not until April!! Cant believe its such a long wait!!!

Does he only do Gnyo operations, or does he also do other cosmetic surgery like tummy tucks? As is common to those of us with gynecomastia, I have very stubborn fat around the abdominal area - love handles, etc. - which refuses to go away no matter how lean I may otherwise be. I would like to have both problems corrected at the same time.

Does OHIP pay for part of the operation, or is it totally out of your pocket?

From Consult to cutting day was 7 weeks for me ( Dec 21, '04 to Feb 16, '05 ).

JCF gets many Gyne patients referred to him by guys from this Site. So Leslie says...

JCF is a Doctor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. I'm sure he handles all areas of Plastic Surgery, including tummy tucks.

OHIP pays for everything except Liposuction. That, they consider a 'Cosmetic' proceedure and will not pay out for cosmetic work.

Tummy tucks are not meant to remove fat, but to remove excess skin. I had one a year ago to remove excess skin after losing 100 lbs.

No fat was removed, just skin.
