I am taking propecia which causes gyno.  I had gyno before I started propecia.  Propecia block DHT.  I reading up on Andractim and thinking of taking it.  I hear it boosts DHT.  Being a cream does Andractim only affect the fat in the nipples or will it affect my hole system making it harder to stop my hairloss?

Dihydrotestosterone is required for erections and libido.  
 
So as you can imagine that isn't good  
 
Hypogonadism is termed as a deficiency of testosterone and/or its metabolites.  Dihydrotestosterone is a metabolite of testosterone.  
 
In other words Finasteride can and does cause hypogonadism.  
 
Finasteride is used as a treatment for prostate cancer. to chemically castrate men- instead of physical castration.  
 
I know of a number of men who have developed hypogonadim as a result of taking propecia.  
 
According to Eurgene Shippen one of the worlds leading authorities on hypogonadism and male hormones- propecia and other drugs containing small amounts of Finasteride can in a minority of men cause a form of hypogonadism that is very difficult to treat.

The worst part is that Hypo is absolutely correct.

Women who are of child bearing age should not even come in to contact with the dust of broken tablets as it can be absorbed through the skin and can cause deformities of the genitalia in the unborn.

Most Blood Banks will not accept your blood if you have taken Finasteride at any time in the last six months.

This crap is dangerous.

If an individual has prostate cancer Andractim can accelerate the growth of this cancer and kill.

Hence the fact that it should only really be used via prescription.

Prior to use it is imperative that the person concerned has a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) test to rule out prostate cancer.

The above noted Andractim cannot and does not cause prostate cancer.

Andractim can also accelerate hair loss in those men predisposed to male pattern balding- it has no affect on those that are not.

The side effects below have also been reported;

acne, Increased libido, increased erections, fatigue, increased leg strength

This is by no means an exhaustive list.

Anyone concerned about side effects whilst taking Andractim should;

A)      Consult their prescribing doctor, detail the concerns and act upon advice given.

B)       If self medicating, discontinue use and contact their gp at the earliest possible convenience.
