Hi, Dr. Bermant. My name is Michael I am 20 years old, and I'm from CLeveland, OH. 9 months ago I had the surgery. It was performed by Dr. Reichstein of the Kaiser Permanente Severance sight in CLeveland Hts., OH. 4 months ago I went back in for the post-op check up and I was having problems with the appearance of my chest. He told me that my chest was normal and there was nothing to be concerned about, just massage the areolas periodically, and the skin should reconnect to the muscle within a few months. That's where the problem is. I'm still unhappy with the results and I don't think he did a very good job. You can judge for yourself what you think the problem is. I tried to call your office this morning but the answering service kept picking up. If you could tell me your opinion and what you think I should do please let me know. Kaiser covered the expense of my surgery, I don't know if they cover mistakes or whatever to repair stuff. SO whatever you can do to help, pleez do. the link takes you to the web page, just click on the documents tab and click on the pics you'll see what I mean. Also if possible, could you let me know if I am a candidate for areola reduction that'd be awesome.

Loose skin sometimes only adjusts so far.
Male Chest Tightening Surgery Scars can be a significant compromise. For many patients, the skin does contract well enough that the skin reduction scars are not an acceptible compromise. For others, a secondary skin reduction may be necessary.
Hanging male breasts shown in this view look feminine and I have seen many patients unhappy with their drooping chest tissues. The hanging breasts can be from removal of a great deal of breast tissue, aging, or massive weight loss.
After massive weight loss, excess skin can be a problem. The extra skin can be around the stomach, thights, buttocks, chest, arms, and face. Body building can fill loose tissues with muscles to a degree for the chest, but not well in the stomach.
Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty and Body Lift Sculpture can help with the stomach and extending around the back. For men this can result in
Male Chest Ptosis or drooping boobs. The areola and nipples can be well below the pectoral muscles giving a strange look to the male chest, especially when flexed. Loose skin can be difficult to show in photographs. That why I evolved the bending over view to demonstrate problems that loose skin can cause.
Male Mastopexy Breast Lift can help but there is a trade off for the loose skin.
Options depend on the original problem, what was done, the nature of the remaining skin / tissues, and other factors best explored during a consultation.
Hope this helps,
Michael Bermant, MD
