ok so I've been saving, nearly got the cash and hoping to get it done before my wedding and trip to thailand (beaches etc, you knoe the score),

so - I'm going to call Dr Levick and get an appointment,

how long til I get surgery?

will it hurt? serious, I can handle it,

how long off work? I only have 5 days holiday, how long for bandages etc?

what are 'drains' on your ribs?!?

do you have to stay overnight or do you get it done and go home?

how long til I can carry on with teh gym aagin?

Serious guys, this would be BRILLIANT if you could advise me,

thanks very, veru much,

Davey boy

  • Previously stonecold... 9.11.05 Surgery Levick
Usually 3-4 weeks after the consult for surgery, somtimes sooner.

Very little pain and discomfort seriously.

Depending on your job really a day or two if office based etc or a week if manual.

Drains take the fluid away. I never had them so cant comment further but supposedly the worst bit of the op.

Most people spend one night, altough if done under local anesthetic you can go home the same day. One guy on here did that. The rest as far as i know spend the night.

Gym about a month, but don expect to be back to your current level of fitness for 2 - 3 months.
