Anyone else remember this short lived football league?  Why did it only last one season?  I liked it even though I was initially turned off by the cliched "XTREME" marketing campaign.
I wish people gave it a chance.  Perhaps it was because people were already fine with the NFL but even still I think it deserved to be aired for more than one season.

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
I agree. I didn't like the product on the field because it was clearly inferior to the NFL, but the entertainment value was interesting.

Heck yeah. "Touchdown" Tommy Maddox was the MVP before making his way to the Steelers. Any league that would let Rod Smart put "He Hate Me" on his jersey has got something going for it.

The XFL has a great Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XFL

What a coincidence!  I saw a guy at the gym the other day wearing a t-shirt that had 'XFL' on it.  8)
