why do you have to be completely nude during gynecomastia surgery?
I'm fine down there and everything lol, but it just seems kinda like "okay, I'm getting surgery done on my upperbody, so I should take of my boxers/briefs/whatever, because that will help"

any insight?

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
This reminds me of a Sienfeld episode where Jerry woke up in the dentist chair and saw both the dentist and assistant in the final stages of putting their clothes back on.   :)   ;)    :D

I, like many others, got to keep my boxers on.  Oh and I had to wear those strange green compression socks too.

I too wore a gown and had boxers on underneath. If I had a sexy female surgeon doing my operation I wouldn't care. LOL

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
I think they stick a thick rubber tube in your penis to suck the urine out of your bladder.  ;)  That way, there's no chance of you urinating in your pants during the procedure.

Kind of like drains in your chest.

Yeah. Isn't it also weird how you wake up with a sore ass?

Right guys?
Surgery completed. Mission accomplished!

I'm gonna go with the infection risk option as stated above.  I don't usually wear underwear so the nurse that put my shorts back on after the op may have got a little free show!  I was wearing those little surgery socks w/ the traction rubber on the bottom too.

That's what I was thinking - as well as keeping the Operating Room as sanitary as possible.

This is why you should not eat or drink starting midnight before surgery.
