Getting worse - 13 days post op 4 pictures

I am getting worried here, almost at the point of panic.  Surgery went well, lots of bleeding and bruising.  7 days post op was when i first got my bandages and drains out.  Since then my right side has become increasingly swollen and is still bleeding slightly from where the drain was placed in.

Any words of advice would be greatfully appreciated!  Is this type of thing normal???

As I mentioned in your other post where you mentioned bleeding, I think you should get yourself checked out.  Swelling can come and go for many weeks after surgery but your right side looks excessive to me and should be looked at.

The sooner a doctor sees it, the sooner they can get it under control and you back on the path to recovery.

I saw my surgeon today and she immediately drained my right side. 

There was alot of fluid/blood taken out with a large needle.  Minimal pain because of the numbness that follows surgery.
She told me this happpens in about 20% of cases and there really is nothing to worry or panic about and that my recovery is looking good and she reasurred me that the scar under my nipples was going to be no exsistant.  Only time will tell.

She is considered one of the finest plastic surgeons in Canada so I'm remaining confident that everything will come together and heal right.

Thanks for the input and advice from everyone.  I will post a few pics in a few days as it comes along.
