Any recent Dr. Pensler (chicago) patients?

I'm looking for a doctor in the chicago area and aside from one other (Placik, whom I've heard not too great things about here) Pensler is th only Chicago doctor I've heard about on this board.  I'm thinking of going in for a consult with him soon.  Has anyone had any experiences with him recently?  Just trying to get as much info as possible.

I spoke with him briefly about finding an endocrine specialist.  He helped me find one and seemed pretty personable.  I haven't had a consultation with him yet though.

Well I set up a consultation with him next tuesday.  Costs $125. :-/  Oh well, just glad I've finally set the wheels in motion to getting rid of this crap.

Congrats on taking that first step and setting up the consult appt.  I know that i feel very relieved now that is done.....I just had the consult with Dr. Pensler on the 16th, and feel very confident after my meeting with him....he can get the job done.  I have scheduled surgery for december now, but hope to get in sooner.  You'll like how personable he is, and one of his assistants, Justina, is very nice and hot!  She told me that she was a former patient of Dr Penslers before she started working for him.  I could definitely tell that he did a fantastic job on her,    ....and if he makes my chest look as good in a manly way as he did hers in a female way...then we are in business!!

The consultation cost at Dr. Pensler's office kind of made me go "hmmm...?" at first too, but it's deducted from your fee if you go through with surgery.  If you don't, you will definitely at least get $125 worth of info, time and attention for your money.

There is, honestly, no sales pitch in that office.  It's entirely about information and options.  I felt that I got $125 worth out of that meeting.  I went to another doctor in the area for a (free) consultation.  I left that meeting uncertain, nervous and a bit discouraged.  I also had to wait while the doctor was finishing up with a patient, and I could hear him conducting another appointment in the room next to where I was waiting.  I was very uncomfortable listening to these things and wondering who was listening to me.  Dr. Pensler, on the other hand, met with me in his office privately.  I feel like I got my money's worth.

Everyone has to make decisions that are right for them.  Dr. Pensler was the right choice for me, for sure.
