I'm a 24 year old athletic built man suffering from puffy nipples....I had my second operation on the the fifth of december....and after about a week, i had the tell tale sign i had the first time my gyne reoccured...same sensations, same small disc of tissue that inevitably gets larger....i know what you're thinkin...dude it's just scar tissue, well i'm sorry, i wish it was, but it's not....i had a hematoma so i had to be reopened up cleaned and had some fluid drained, then again drained some more a week later...i went to see an endocrinologist before both my operations, and according to their tests my hormones are at the correct levels, i don't have Klifen-whatever syndrome (forgot what its called) but i don't have it...which is why i stand with hands towards the sky wondering what is wrong with me....

Any similar stories? Any advice? I would greatly appreciate it...I'll probably go see an my endocrinlogist again...i have another appointment with my PS on the third, and i'm sure he's gonna be baffled too....Cheers

My question would be ... are you seeing an Endo who specialises in reproductive systems?  Different Endos have different specialisations; the majority seem to go for the more common diabetes and thyroid disorders and sometimes these only have a “working” knowledge of the causes of gynecomastia.  There is so much more involved with gyne than looking at the individual values that that come out of a series of blood tests.

There is a contributor on here called Hypo is here who might be able to give you the names of Endos who have the required specialisation depending on the area where you live.  If he doesn’t pick up on your post it might be worth sending him a Personal Message.

Surgery performed by Mr Levick at The Priory Hospital Bimingham (UK) 20th October 2006
