Is this scar tissue?

Ok, so I had the surgery on the 29th, and directly under the right nipple, right by the stitches, it's hard, and is somewhat sore to the touch.  It makes the nipple puff out a bit, just curious if this is scar tissue or not?  It is right under the nipple, and does not extend outwards from that.  Should I try massaging it?  My left nipple has the same thing right by the scar, but not as bad.  I'm assuming this is just scar tissue.

Any insight would be appreciated.

The 29th of January? If so, it will be too early to tell and my doc said no massage until at least 3 weeks post-op.
