Thats a bit extreme to say that soley because you have not had the results you expect.  There are many here who have had very good results.

I have read with interest the postings about the surgeons people have used and their opinions of the results that they have had with their surgeon.  One man may be happy with the job his surgeon did, and another man (who used the same surgeon) may not.  Each will naturally have a strong opinion and I think it right and proper for them to express it.  I feel that this is invaluable to those of us who are considering surgeons.  We need to hear the good cases and the bad cases of a surgeon.  Only then can we make the choice with our eyes open and aware that he/she is not infallible.  Keep the stories coming please, both good and bad.

Hey Ian, just out of interest, how much of a difference would you say you've seen from the 4.5 month stage up to 14 months? Don't get me wrong, I'm already very happy (almost 4 months), just wondering what the next year or so may hold really. Cheers.

I'm sure it does keep getting better. It's really hard to notice as it all happens so slowly, but I catch myself looking at my chest every so often and thinking... yeah, thats better than it was a few months after surgery. There are def more improvements after 4 months though. I would say at about 10 months to a year, thats what your left with... but even after that I think it keeps improving. This might be down to the training I'm doing though. I'm doing the London Triathlon this weekend so I have been getting myself quite fit for that. Not really any specific work on my chest though. But swimming seems to help tone up everywhere... But the lumps and bumps even out, I can still feel the scar tissue, but its getting harder to see... so maybe its reducing sloowwwlllyyyy!!!!

Ian, I am 4.5 months post op with Levick and i am only about 50% happy, the main thing that bothers me is how things look when i tense my pecs, the skin sort of pulls in and upwards and forms craters which look worse depending on the "pose" im in when im tensing them. It looks very un natural, also when i raise my arms it doesnt look very good at all. Did you have these problems and will it get better? Will it fill out some more? I feel maybe too much has been removed? Cheers

Random - I should think you can expect to see some filling in, but have you seen Mr Levick about this and what did he say?
I have had the op with Mr Levick too which is why I'm interested. Did you invoke the "satisfaction guaranteed" clause??

If I tense up, then yes, the right pec does have a certain amount of 'skin sticking to the wall of my rib cage just under the pec' look... This was quite bad at the start but is again has got much better over time. It's not enough for me to worry about. How often do you walk around with your pecs tensed up?  I think I was tensed up in that recent picture of me in Durban.... kind of looks a bit like I am super defined?! lol

To be honest, I think my expectations were just to be able to walk around on the beach without worrying about how my chest looks. I feel I can do that and as all my friends knew I had the surgery they also look to see how things have gone and have had nothing but compliments, most of which are along the lines of.... it looks completely normal. But noone says that anymore.... its old news!

I think things would sort themselves a lot more if you invested in vigorous massage. I sincerly beleive that any imperfections are due to scar tissue. I read Paula Radcliffes autobiog recently and she was talking about having massage on her knee to get rid of the scar tissue build up from injuries etc. This wasn't a light rub to make it all better, this was hurting her, she would be in tears for hours at a time, so agressive was the massage! Get rubbing, get a pro to do it, or I wonder if the vibrating muscle massagers would do the job, on top setting, they are quite brutal!

Just a thought!

p.s I hardly ever masssaged! Probably why I have scar tissue....

webster - I have not been to see Mr Levick yet, I'm gonna wait another month and a half.

The thing that worries me is that I am 4.5 months post op and I'm worried that things will not change significantly now. My right side I am 80% happy with, it has filled up nicely and looks pretty good, and the crater/skin sticking effect when tensed is not so bad, the left side still needs to fill out, it is still a little concave and when i raise my arm it looks pretty bad, and the sticking/crater issue when tensed is pretty bad too.

I am starting getting a chest massage every other day, and I am also going to start swimming every day. Hopefully things will get better.

Can any of you tell me how this much will cost approx. I need to have an idea so I can at least warm my wife up to the idea. But the image of playing in the Water parks with the kids sounds like it would be worth every pence!! Please advise on what to expect? Is there a good surgeon in London? How long does the recovery process take? Any help much needed. Thanks guys.

and recovery is about 2 weeks but results will be like for a year to be expected.

I would budget nearer £4000 Once you have consultations and travel taken into account. Depends who you go with of course.

I'm sorry RRB, is there something slightly less extreme I could say that could please all the shiny happy people? That could lead the unoperated lambs to the slaughter? Suggestions welcome. Maybe you could ask randomtask for an opinion who only just posted a few days ago within this same subject?

What is it with praising Levick when he so obviously doing a great deal of damage along with his 'other' work?

I would like others to stand up and have the balls to tell me what their thoughts are now that they have been left ruined by Levick. I know Taz was another that didn't get back to me to compare notes.

From what I've read Levick is having a great deal of people 'ruined' by his efforts - should something not be done to stop others going for his russian roulette surgery?

With some of the comments you make, i have to assume you are a young teenager or your a complete retard.  The way you put it, people happy with levick should just say they are unhappy to suit you.  You are not the almighty power of opinion so get of your high horse and stop think because you have had a bad experience everyone should not use Levick.  Have you even posted a picture to show your problems yet ?

As for your comments about posting here when i should be enjoying the high life ?   Ive posted around 250 times since january, that equates to roughly one post a day.  Thats hardly taking up a huge amount of my time does it, but if it helps you sleep at night then i post here to try and help newer people to the site since i received a lot of help when i was new here.  So please grow up you stupid blabbering idiot.
