Thank you for the kind words guys.

But I have to say, 17 days post op my results don't look as good as they did in the pictures I posted. I'm guessing it's because of swelling, I'll try to post new pictures within the next couple of days. Don't get me wrong tough, I can still walk around with a tight t-shirt or even a tank top without any problems, it's just I seem to have some loose skin around the chest area and it's not as perfect as it was in the beginning. Again, I hope it's just swelling and will eventually get back to normal.

I have had surgery before and I know what you mean. Don't worry bro, in a month you will look like you did in those first pics.

Angel,

Has your PS instructed you to massage your chest?  Are you doing that?  I instruct my patients to get an electric massager and start as soon as they can tolerate it, maybe the second postop week.  That may help to keep your chest smooth as your swelling goes down and your skin starts to retract.  Check with your PS on this.

I don't recall my PS saying anything about massaging. I think I'm gonna wait a little more and see if the swelling adds or if it gets worse. For now I still can't really complain as overall my chest still looks great and the bruising and swelling has still been to a minimum. When I stand straight it's completely flat. If I flex my chest muscle, the skin gets loose/wrinkled a little. It's been steady for the past couple of days so I'll wait a little before I contact my PS.

I went trough the pictures I had posted on this thread a few days after the surgery, and wow...lol I forgot how good my chest looked then. I feel like taking some pictures of my chest now 23 days post op and show you the difference. I hope it's just swelling, and I'm pretty sure it is. Still with the swelling I feel comfortable just wearing a t-shirt, but really hope it's doesn't keep adding.

You guys have any idea when the swelling usually starts going down ? And for how long can it keep adding ?

I've been going to the gym now and started some other physical activities as well....

We all heal differently dude... There are many factors that influence healing time... There is no way to know how long it will take for your swelling to subside...  Be patient my man. You're just 3 weeks in. Give it at least 12 weeks before passing judgement...  ;)
