Your question is invalid because your portable radio only receives radio signals not transmits them. So there is no RADIATION source there causing your DNA to be altered and making you mutate.  It is merely picking up a signal being transmitted from a satellite in space.

On that topic, there are two types of radiation, ionizing and non-ionizing.

Radiation from a radioactive material such as plutonium is ionizing and causes you health problems, whether is causes the gyne i have no idea but if you were exposed to it you'd probably have other things to worry about.

Radiation from a radio transmitter or a microwave oven or a mobile phone, is non ionizing.  This does not alter your DNA.  Long term exposure to this type of radiation might cause tumors, but there is as yet, no widespread scientific evidence that this does or does not occur.  We need to wait and see.

I wouldnt be overly concerned. We all have a level of radiation in our bodies left over from atomic testing. Every one of us...... its stored in your fat cells it accumulates when your younger as a child. They say new fat you produce when your older out of your teens does not have as much of the radiation in it but I read they can detect how much "childhood" fat you have in your system by reading the radiation isotopes that exist in that specific fat from a study they did. I was trying to find a link to it but haven't found it yet but its creepy.

They say if you dont lose your childhood fat by the time your out of the teens its a lot more impossible to dispose of it. Thats what the study was looking at. Thats how they detected the childhood fat vs accumulated fat, by the radiation isotopes in it.

soooo might as well start having a slice of that chocolate pie because we are all radioactive anyway. But its fine with the industrial millitary complex seeing as how the ends justify the means as always.

I guess somehow in a child state we are more susceptible to the isotopes
